How to setup using a proxy TRK/Win8

Hi guys,

I'm using a new machine for my torrent client which is Windows 8 Pro and I use an external proxy service (not VPN) for my torrents but the Java app doesn't allow me to specify a proxy server as the uTorrent is set to use the localhost service, is there an easy way to configure this? This was quite easy to do with the Windows 7 application.

Hi.

TRK Java works as proxy only, not a traffic tunnel tool. Can you install the software on remote PC/server? Is it possible to launch TRK on remote server?

It's a paid for service overseas so the server isn't able to have this installed. So the only way I can get the TRK Java app to work on Windows 8 is to get a VPN proxy service, I was trying to avoid that due to the extra cost.

Re-download TRK Monster and try it on your Win8 please. TRK should work fine now with 32bit torrent clients.

Thanks, downloaded and executed but I still can't specify an external proxy service in the Java app itself, if I set uTorrent to use localhost:3012 there is no configuration for me to use the external proxy service, eg torrent.proxy.com:80 which is the issue for me, as I said this worked fine with the Windows 7 application as it was pass-through, ie the proxy is setup in uTorrent itself as a SOCKS5 proxy/authenticated service. Sorry if I have misunderstood?
